eJOBS sells 30% to US Tiger Fund in Romania’s largest internet transaction

Romania/USA, 1 June 2007. M&A International Inc. member in Romania, Capital Partners, acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of eJOBS in the successful sale of a minority stake to the US fund Tiger HF. The transaction marks at least two firsts for the Romanian M&A market: it is the country’s largest internet transaction and boasts the highest EBITDA multiple achieved to date by a local company.

eJOBS is Romania’s leading online recruitment portal started a few years ago by two young local entrepreneurs, Liviu Dumitrascu and Daniel Tatar. Capital Partners, acting as the exclusive financial advisor to the sellers, managed the entire sale process from identifying potential investors to deal structuring and final negotiations. Mr. Liviu Dumitrascu, founding partner and CEO of eJOBS, said: “Capital Partners were our ‘brains’ in this transaction, from the initial idea to the investor selection and contract negotiations. Without them, this deal would have never happened.”

At over 30 times the forecast EBITDA, the sale also marked the highest multiplier achieved by a Romanian company, confirming the strength of Capital Partners’ negotiating team and also setting a new benchmark for future transactions in the sector.
