On the sale of a business, we work with the owners to establish the key priorities, agree the timetable, provide a realistic valuation and manage the transaction from start to finish.

All divestitures require delicate and experienced handling to ensure the interests of various stakeholders are respected. Having closed over 300 transactions in the past three years, we have that experience.

It is also essential that overseas buyers are considered. They will often pay a higher price to enter a new market, or their presence can force up the price offered by a domestic buyer. Selling to an overseas buyer also avoids the need to approach local competitors and disclosing sensitive information. Psychometric Services Limited is acquired by Kenexa Corporation

M&A International members advised on the sale of Psychometric Services Limited ("PSL"), the London-based provider of assessment solutions, to Kenexa Corporation (Nasdaq: KNXA), a software, services and proprietary content provider that enables organizations to more effectively recruit and retain employees. One of M&A International's UK members was lead advisor, from the initial evaluation of the client's objectives through to the closing. During the process, member firms identified potential buyers from over 20 countries, allowing PSL to avoid selling the business to a domestic competitor.
