Joint Venture agreement and sale of Forum Servicios Financieros to BBVA
Forum is the leading auto financing company in Chile servicing a network of 250 dealerships throughout the country. It has more than 50,000 active clients, a loan portfolio of US$400m and leading profitability indicators for the industry.
The transaction involved the negotiation and successful agreement of a critical joint venture agreement, as well as a shareholders' agreement and the sale of a 51% stake in Forum and its related companies, valuing 100% of the equity at more than US$205m. The remaining 49% stake will continue to be held by the Avayú-Yarur families, who will be actively involved in the management of the company.
